We have five different funds, so you can designate where you would like your donation to go. WCAHS is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.  All donations and memberships are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

General Fund

This is our general operating fund that is used for such expenses as wages, utilities, insurance, pet food, supplies, and routine medical expenses.

Chester Fund

Money donated to the Chester Fund is used to help cover the cost of surgeries and other medical expenses for animals entering the shelter in need. The Chester Fund makes it possible to help wonderful, adoptable pets that otherwise may be euthanized because of lack of funds.

SNAP Fund

WCAHS advocates animal population control and offers spay/neuter assistance to qualifying fixed or low income families through our S.N.A.P. (Spay and Neuter All Pets) program. Money in this fund helps pay for a portion of the surgery. An application must be filled out and approved by the SNAP committee.

Thomas Fund

This is a spay/neuter fund strictly for cats that was set up in memory of a beloved pet.  Details have yet to be finalized as to how this fund will be distributed, but the intent is to help reduce the large numbers of cats and kittens that come through our door that we are unable to find homes for.

Cowboy's House

A dog hospice – “Cowboy’s House”.  Dogs that are older or ill that still have some quality of life need homes that will give them love and care as they reach the end of their lives.  These dogs are often euthanized unnecessarily because their owners don’t want to care for them or can’t care for them.  Cowboy's House funds help pay for medication, vet visits and more so that these dogs can live out their lives with compassionate care.
